For exceptional seafood and impeccable quality, we sincerely recommend visiting Ribja Kantina Santalucia. My husband and I have been regulars here for over 15 years. Over this time, the restaurant has grown into an elegant coastal establishment, yet it has kept what matters most — its unique soul and the genuine hospitality of the owners. It is a true family business run by two brothers, and you will most likely meet one of them in the dining area
- In the dining room, you will find a display filled with a fresh catch on ice. You can choose sea bass or sea bream to be prepared for you — simply point to the fish that you like.
- Kalamari na žaru: Be sure to ask specifically for Jadranske (Adriatic) squid. The difference in taste will truly amaze you!
- For a special occasion: Order the Pašto z jastogom (pasta with local lobster). It is highly recommended to pre-order this dish in advance.

For those who appreciate perfectly prepared fresh fish, we highly recommend visiting Neptun. This is an incredibly cozy, family-run restaurant in Piran, where every guest is welcomed with genuine warmth. Please note: the place is quite small and very popular, so booking a table in advance is essential.
- What to try: Be sure to order the grilled mixed shellfish (Školjki na žaru). You will rarely find them prepared so perfectly anywhere else on the coast.
- A little secret: When you are inside, look out for the painting of two boys. Try to guess which one is the father and which is the son — they are two generations of the restaurant’s owners as children.
- Atmospheric bonus: After your dinner, turn right as you leave the restaurant. Just a few steps away, you will find an antique shop home to an old barrel organ and an accordion. Any guest is welcome to play them and bring to life melodies recorded decades ago.

Why this place is special:- Forty Years of Mastery: The owner has dedicated four decades to the art of pastry making. For many years, the family ran a business in Trieste before bringing their expertise and secret recipes here to Portorož.
- Exclusively Handmade: They firmly reject partially-prepared ingrediants. Everything — from the exquisite pastries to the smooth, artisanal gelato — is crafted completely by hand right in the café's pastry kitchen.
- The Atmosphere: An intimate quiet, establishment with a soul where every single dessert reflects personal care and homemade comfort.
This is one of the absolute best spots on the coast for an evening aperitif, where you can watch the sunset melt into the sea right from the terrace. A huge advantage is that it is located within easy walking distance from AdeLis Residence.

- Our Advice: You don't have to come here for a full dinner. Just order a cup of coffee or a glass of iconic Istrian wine from the Santomas winery and simply enjoy the moment.
- World-Class Wine: Try their famous local varieties, Refošk or Malvazija. These wines regularly receive high praise from international critics (including Robert Parker). The premium Antonius line deserves special attention.
- The Tower View: Be sure to climb to the top of the estate's tower. It offers arguably the absolute best panoramic view of all Slovenian Istria, the Alps, and the Adriatic Sea.
- The Atmosphere: It is the ideal place to fully experience the true tranquility, solitude, and majesty of this region.

Crystal Clear Waters and Seclusion If you are looking for a swimming spot with pristine water, we highly recommend checking out the public beach located along the scenic pedestrian path from Portorož to Piran. You will find it right past the managed beach area of the Bernardin Hotel.
Pristine Sea: Thanks to the unique sea currents around the cape, the water here almost always remains incredibly clean and clear.
How to find the beach: Your main landmark is the managed beach of the Bernardin Hotel. The public beach is located right next to it, just past its border heading towards Piran. Walk past the Bernardin Hotel's beach area towards Piran, and right after it, you will see the public beach. We have created a shortcut walking route that takes you past a beautiful panoramic viewpoint and straight down the stairs by the Veduta Bernardin restaurant. - A Cozy Bay, Pristine Water, and the Turtle Lake This is the closest beach to AdeLis Residence, nestled in a picturesque and lush green bay. The water here is usually incredibly clean, and the spot itself is perfectly sheltered from the winds.
A Local Secret (Choosing based on the Wind): We recommend paying attention to the wind direction. If the wind stirs up waves at Cape Bernardin, head straight to Fiesa — here, you will most likely find complete calm, and vice versa.
Best Spot for Swimming: The most comfortable access to the sea is near the Barbara Hotel. There you will find specially built concrete plateaus and convenient steps leading straight into the deep, crystal-clear water.
A Natural Wonder Nearby: Just a few steps from the beach lie the famous Fiesa lakes — a protected natural monument. Be sure to take a stroll there after your swim: in the reeds near the Barbara Hotel, you can often spot turtles basking in the sun.

We are delighted to welcome guests with four-legged friends! To ensure that your pet enjoys the sea just as much as you do, we highly recommend visiting the specialized dog beach. It is conveniently located on the coast between Portorož and Lucija.
Equipped Area: This is a specially designated territory where swimming with dogs is officially permitted. It features easy access points to the water and offers a safe environment for your pets to play.
Care and Comfort: The beach provides fresh water to rinse your pet after the salty sea, along with specialized waste bins.
